November 2003 . Fall Campout

On November 21-22 our Wolf Den #1 leader, Patrick Zaharako hosted an overnight campout at his farm west of Columbus. The weather was perfect, and the boys enjoyed preparing their own meals over the campfire. We ate "hobo dinners" for supper and prepared "breakfast in a bag" the next morning. Along with campfire cooking, the boys enjoyed stories by the fire, a night hike, and a late night visitor (a whitetail deer near camp).

Five Wolf Cubs ready for the day after cooking their breakfasts of eggs and bacon in paper sacks held over the campfire.

Two campers enjoying some time by the fire.

After a short skit one of the boys decides to record some of the evening's events in his journal.
